Pay 50% deposit to cover material costs and insure legitimacy.
I will give you an estimated completion date. Turnaround time will depend on how many commissions I have. Most of the year it is usually 2-3 weeks, but longer around holiday gift giving time. If you would like a portrait finished for December, it is best to place your order by September. Gift certificates are available as well, and are attractively printed on high quality stationery with a holiday motif.
I will email you previews of your portrait while I am painting it, and you can let me know if any changes need to be made.
Pay the remaining 50% plus postage, and I will send your painting to you fully wrapped and insured. I will do everything possible to make sure your portrait arrives safely!
MORE DETAILS
Email me using the Contact Formso we can discuss what you have in mind for a portrait. You can also send me the photo you have in mind (or photos) and I can help you decide which will make the best portrait. It is very important that I have a goodquality photo to work from with as much detail as possible. Please see my Pet Photography Tips page. I also like to know the animal's name(s) and the things about their personality that make them special. I like to think of them by name as I'm painting them! I will let you know the estimated completion date at this time. Custom pet portraits are hand-painted with intricate detail, so they take me many hours to complete but you'll see--your portrait will be well worth the wait! Typical completion dates are 2-3weeks, but that varies as to how many commissions I have going. I will let you know how long the wait will be when you place your order.
All I need to start your portrait is a 50% deposit either by check (made out to Kathleen Denniston) or online with PayPal. You don't need to be registered with Paypal to send money.
I will email you photos of my progress from time to time so you can let me know if any changes need to be made. A photo of your finished portrait will be sent for your final approval, and when you are satisfied the remaining 50% plus postage costs is due. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed! I will refund your money if you are not satisfied with your pet's portrait!
I will then package your painting very carefully and mail it out to you fully insured.
I will look forward to hearing about what you think of your finished portrait, so please let me know!
